Wildlife Viewing
I finally got to see a moose! A cow passed right behind our cabin heading towards the barn Saturday morning before I left. She actually crossed right in front of my brother who was walking down the trail. It was very cool, up close and all-a great sighting at the end of a great trip!

Fall is perhaps the best time for enjoying wildlife. After feeding heavily all summer, the ungulates are in the best possible shape in preparation for a long winter. Antlers are full grown and polished, ready for the very active fall mating season. Bull elk challenge other bulls for superiority...and the right to breed with the most cows!

This is a fascinating and dynamic time to watch the wildlife. It's particularly fun to take one of our early morning elk bugling trips to nearby Yellowstone. Listening to the bull elk bugling their challenges to each other is a sound not soon forgotten. All this and fall colors too make this season very special!

Back at the Ranch at the end of the day, gather with your new friends and share what you saw around the Ranch or in Yellowstone Park at The Saloon, Hot Tubs, or the Dining Lodge.
